Polar bears are ever more turning into threatened due to several factors featuring industry projects, ice in their natural environment melting, and human aspect. By far the largest culprit is the modification in the natural world of the polar bear. Many life-threatening conditions are actually created for these cold weather bears when the ice melts. Global warming that is actually associated to industrialization as well as projects such as driving a vehicle, burning coal, and more human activities causes the ice melting.
Ice melting really should be actually a primary focus of conservation energies for the polar bear as this is actually impacting the polar bear the most. Polar bears count on substantial blocks of floating ice to do their routine actions linked to surviving. Polar bears prey on fat-laden seals from these blocks of ice, they mate, and some also deliver their cubs on them. The trouble with the ice melting is that lots of polar bears have gone hungry because there is not sufficient ice for them to hunt their prey. This impacts their ability to reproduce as well as bring their cubs to term that instantly impacts population quantities. Also, when ice is actually also far from land, polar bears will definitely wipe out trying to swim far distances to discover them. All of these elements have made the polar bear more land bound.
Why They’re At Hazard
The best risk to the survival of the polar bear varieties is the noted warming of the Arctic marine which is actually leading to the melting of the ice these bears call house. Although the bears use the ice for breeding as well as relaxing as well, it’s fundamental element is to provide a cover for the bears as they hunt seals. Without sufficient ice, the bears are able to not prolong far enough from land to hunt sufficient food to survive. The bears are turning into malnourished as well as countless are expiring of malnourishment. This dynamic is actually effecting female bears by having cubs in a wonderful quantity causing lesser survival rates of the newer generations. Increased risks to polar bears consist of enhanced run ins by having humans due to the forced time spent on land, and spills, development and shipping operations reporting to oil in the Arctic.
Intercession in the form of authorities authorities to diminish human impact has actually been highlighted as a concern in America as well as more nations. In addition, individual businesses as well as interest bunches proceed to lobby as well as work with the authorities to protect this important animal in its natural environment. Aside from government intervention, further analysis regarding international warming is critical so that the temperature adjustment can easily be actually put a stop to or countermanded. There are agencies that are raising cash for this remarkably objective. Another way communities are assisting the polar bear is to use qualified bear patrol agents to keep the land bound polar bears from people and to make sure that the bears are not contending also firmly with the folks for the food resources on land.
One can easily get included in the quest to conserve the Arctic Polar Bears by functioning instantly by having the Globe Wildlife Fund. Start your gratifying voyage today by dropping by Polar Bears at World Wild Life.
what effect would polar bears extinction have on the planet?
overpopulation of animals at Antartica
If polar bears become extinct then not only will we loose a beautiful creature but there will more than likely be a rise in the population of their favorite prey which could result in problems such as out eating of their habitat/over harvesting of those animals favorite prey. All animals have a role in the ecosystem.
How can I collect money to help prevent Polar Bear extinction? I need ideas that will work to get money for Polar Bears.
Set up on main street in downtown Ann Arbor. There’s all kinds of people down there.
The polar population in 1940 was 5000, while now there are only 25000 left. In 1940 there were about 2.3 billion people, while there are only about 6.9 billion left. Since the polar bear population increased by a factor of 5 while the human population only increased by a factor of 3, and the polar bear is “going extinct,” then the human population must really be extinct.
Abby, I know you have probably been propagandized by your school, but the fact is that the polar bears are doing great. Polar Bears are doing fine: http://www.ibtimes.com/articles/190805/20110802/polar-bear-global-warming-extinction-climate-change-research-world-wide-fund-wwf-geological-survey-s.htm Warmists are using polar bears to try and increase sympathy for their man-made Global Warming scam — but its just a hoax to make money and gain power. Perfect example of Warmist propaganda using polar bears to try and glean sympathy for their global scam. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLt0myO8XsA Watch these top climate scientists and listen to what they have to say about it: The Great Global Warming Swindle http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaTJJCPYhlk Global Warming Doomsday Called Off http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3309910462407994295# ———————–
Follow David Attenborough, He makes a few bob at it. Don’t mention it to the Inuit lads that have to put up with these dangerous creatures.
Why? The polar bear is not at risk. Their numbers are increasing… there are more now (est 25,000) than have been counted in any prior year since records began. They are becoming a dangerous nuisance in the western Hudson bay area.
what can a 13 year old do to help the environment? i want to make a difference, i just saw a commercial that was about global warming and how polar bears are nearing extinction, i want to start a charity, but i dont know how to, and also y family isnt exactly rich, we arent poor, but we couldnt spend 1,00 dollars a month on it, what can i do to make a difference
well first of all i think global warming is bs….the worth just goes through times when its really hot like now and when its really cold (like ice age basically” it just happens that its hot right now….but if u wanna make a difference just like go pick up stuff on the side of the highway or something
Ride your bike or walk instead of having your parents drop you off places, use reusable bags when shopping (honestly, I work at a supermarket, and you’ve no idea how senseless and wasteful people are with plastic bags; what’s the point? Just reuse them! It’s not to hard), don’t eat a lot of meat, etc. Start awareness at your school. Talk to the prinipal and get some friends together. You can get funding from institutions like that.
I dont know about bears, but recycling is not done enough get your neighbors into seperating newspapers out and plastic bottles and aliumun cans My son is doing this with his school it can make a huge diffrerence on the enviroment
Persuasive Speech NEED STEP PLEASE HELP? I am in the eigth grade and I am writing a pursuasive speech about the possible extinction of polar bears, could you please tell me how long my need step should be, i know that it is supposed to be the longest step so I am thinking about a half page, what do you think. Please help.
8-12 sentences should suffice.
What does Al Gore say about polar bear extinction due to global warming/global warming in the north pole? I’m writing a report and I really need to know. Thanks!!
Hmm.. i dont know
polar bears have been around for 250,000 years they made it through the last warm period 130,000 when the arctic had a sub tropical climate, maybe they like to eat alligators as well as seals? Al Gore “hints” that the polar bears are becoming extinct. when in fact their population has been increasing for more than 10 years.(research polar bear population figures) he uses polar bears because people think their cute, warm & fuzzy & theres verry little life in the arctic to make an example of. in real life polar bears would see you as lunch if you were up there.
Since polar bear populations are either stable or increasing, those claiming that they are nearing extinction are either liars or fools. I will leave it to you to decide which of these Al Gore is.
Algore will say anything if Algore thinks it will be good for Algore. But he still lives like an Eco Hog thanks to the many contributions and sales of Carbon credits he’s scammed people into.
The Secretary of the Interior was hesitant to make a commitment as to placing them on the endangered list. Might have been a good reason for that. Never the less they are not facing extinction. What Al says has little or no consequence whether true or false.
No one knows and no one can even make a reasonable guess because we have no idea how warm it will get. If it gets warm enough, polar bears and penquins will have to adapt or become extinct. I would say the polar bears have a better chance of adapting to a significant change in temperatures because they are less specialized. On the other hand, there are also penquins that do not live in Antartica so once again, who knows. No we are not going to lose Antartica, it’s a continent and it’s not going to get hot enough to melt rock so it will still be there. There will probably be less ice, but then there are parts of Antartica that are not covered with ice even now. In general, life will adapt to what ever is thrown at it. It always has and it always will. Life goes on.
Global warming is and will continue to have a devastating effect on all life. As a consequence of our burning fossil fuels, the world is now arming faster than any other time in millions of years. Animals and plants are unable to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and are thus dieing. Anyone who says otherwise is a fool in complete denial.
Polar Bears and Penguins may have to move to the new cold spot. Everyone calls this phenomena Global Warming but it is nothing more than a change in the magnetic field of the Earth. Science has already discovered that the magnetic poles have flipped during its long life time. Yes it is a problem that many animals will have to contend with. Let us hope that the climate changes will be slow enough for them to adapt. It has been proved that animals have been able to cope fairly well as per examples of World wide Zoo’s. The comfort range for humans is very large. We have survived in all climates since our brain mass is the main compensator.
the rainforest helps us not have global warming, but as pple cut down more and more trees, it’s gonna affect us and the animals. yes it will affect the animals and yes they will go extinct. if there was global warming, we’d all die.
The animals will go on a killing spree against humans!
