One of the Folly Beach Rentals Oceanfront may be exactly what you may need. In the event your lifestyle, work demands and family responsibilities have recently been pushing you to the limit, then why don’t you push back? Take a little escape to an area referred to as the “Edge of America” and show everybody that you’re completely capable of hanging on tight when confronted with difficulties and letting loose when you recognize it’s time.

Folly Beach, South Carolina will take you just far enough from all of it to relax and wind down, so think about making your way to this captivating vacation spot when you’re ready to view things from a different vantage point entirely.Folly Beach has a amusing name for being such a safe bet. It’s actually a barrier island that stretches for around seven miles, and it’s located a cozy eight miles from colorful Charleston. The sand, sun and fun all comprise the makings of a great time, and together with the rustic beauty and legendary southern hospitality of this area of the nation, it is a no-fail recipe for vacation success.

A well known surfing place, the Washout, presents great waves for all those inclined to try their boarding expertise. You’re going to easily notice the Edwin S. Taylor Fishing Pier as it extends plainly into the ocean and gathers together the fun and frivolity that piers are notable for. Most visitors to Folly Beach County Park have the practice of frolicking right down to an art, as this place allows you to lose yourself and be a child again. From the outdoor umbrella rentals to the picnic areas, you and your loved ones will likely be ready to enjoy a properly laughter-filled day on the beach.

Folly Beach is a refuge for loggerhead sea turtles, and coming out to see them nest and go about their daily and nightly business is a major attraction. The community is serious about protecting and encouraging the safety of these sensitive endangered species, so be sure you follow all guidelines with regards to observing and existing alongside these creatures of the sea.

Quite a few eating places are around for satisfying and even defying expectations about what constitutes a good meal. Sea food is plentiful, as you would imagine, however everyone should find something to enjoy – and eat. The night time can keep going as long as you want while you meander down the road and select from various happenin’ patios to watch the setting sun or the men and women. End it all with a walk on the shore, romance-novel style, and tell a special someone just how you are feeling.

The last thing that really must be mentioned is the Morris Island Lighthouse. Erosion of the beachfront has caused this towering landmark to be surrounded by ocean, but the steps of concerned residents have helped it to be shielded from further wear and tear due to an subterranean steel wall structure. Enjoy this unique sight and the spirit of the caring local community that is reflected upon it.

Now that you see a visit to Folly Beach would not be a mistake, it is time to consider places to stay. The best complement to a laid-back seaside getaway is a special accommodation that will promote peacefulness to thrive for you and all your friends; a location that will fit everybody’s needs while offering convenience as well. Consider getting one of the Folly Beach Rentals Oceanfront that strikes your fancy – it certainly won’t be too difficult.

Your getaway to the edge is going to be a fun filled one, and the tales you come back with are likely to encourage a few other tourists to stray from the traditional and check out life as it is viewed from the brink of normalcy.

  1. Where is the best place to travel in July for a beach vacation? I live in Canada and would like to travel to a nice beach resort at the end of July. Anywhere between Canada, the US or down south is a possibility….but I’m afraid of hurricane season and possibly getting rained out for our short 5 day trip – a much needed getaway to just lie on the beach and have a pina colada – some entertainment at night would be fun and it would have to be a decent place – clean and friendly. Anyone recommend a spot?? Thanks bunches.

Well don’t be arfaid be strong and do what you plese. But I would perferr Florida. I brought my little sister down there last year for her birthday in July. Toward the end. And me and my familey are from New Orleans. But I wouldn’t perrfer for you to go ther just yet. Give them sometime. Hope you have a great time on your trip where ever you decide to go.

Try any of the beaches between LA and San Diego in California. There are a lot of them and you can just pick a beach and see if you like it. The weather in southern California at this time of year is almost always great! No worry about major hurricanes etc. It is where I would pick if I had to go. You can also find a larger hotel that is located on the beach where they will serve drinks poolside or for you to carry down to the ocean’s beach!

  5. What type of arts and crafts activity would a 13 year old boy like to do on a family beach vacation? The 13 year old is my nephew and it is an annual beach trip with his parents, his 11 year old brother, his 7 year old sister, my mom and my 7 year old daughter. We have always had a great time doing arts and crafts but last year I realized that he was getting a little old for the stuff we have always done and I really don’t know what a guy his age would find “cool” to do….. I really don’t want to embaress him, I just want him to have fun. Any ideas?

  6. needlewings says:

Actually you might find this rather cool, especially # 4 the solar powered bug, as it isn’t all that expensive and something that he could build. Perhaps have the boys make these while the girls do more girl like things:) That way he wouldn’t be singled out and the boys are closer together in age anyway. http://www.fatbraintoys.com/toys/toys_by_ages/boys/top_picks_13.cfm model airplanes would also be something they could “craft” together from a kit and use on the beach. http://www.fatbraintoys.com/toy_companies/noted/the_crow_model_airplane_kit.cfm

Here’s a great idea Encourage your nephew to take pictures and collect all kinds of memorabilia during his beach vacation. He can then put together a fun beach vacation scrapbook. To learn more, visit http://www.my-family-vacations-page.com/vacation-scrapbooks.html Have fun

  17. john m says:

nope..not on spring break. wild things from college students. and the most over crowded time of the year. i live in Miami,i am not going to the beach when spring break is in progress.

  18. d says:

nnnnnnooooooooo not at all. to many boobs and ass all over. you wouldnt want kids there. >>>>>>>>>>>

  19. Lily T says:

It’s a great time to go. Especially if you stay in a nice hotel with a private beach. The Diplomat is a great place. There is also many public beaches around it. It has a pool, a beach, and amazing service and rooms. Close to it is Aventura Mall, Sawgrass Mills, and Bal Harbour. Aventura Mall is my preference. Fort Lauderdale Airport. It makes things easy. There’s tons of cabs outside the airport, you’ll be sure to catch one. Good luck, and have a great time with whatever you decide to do! http://www.diplomatresort.com/hollywood.php

If the children are teenagers it would be a decent place to take them. South Beach is really like a playground for adults. If the children are small I think the Florida Keys or even Fort Lauderdale are a better choice.

  21. MorenaLinda says:

I dont think so.. unless you are fine with your kids sitting near women who prefer to go topless, wear thongs, or BOTH topless and thong.. i was just there 2 days ago and i did see a few kids, and i was wearing a thong swimsuit and they dont seem to care (the kids) they never really do, they are too busy playing. just letting u know what to expect, but to me its more of an adult beach… not too many other people wore thongs tho (not where i was sitting at least), not even the the spring-breakers. I think if u go now it will be fine.. but other times that i went to south beach especially in the hot summer nearly every girl wears one. I agree, if your kids are teens i think they will be fine. Like someone else said before, I’m pretty sur they’ve seen worse on tv. Oh and dont go too far north on miami beach.. you might end up at the nude section (Haulover Beach)

Best Affordable Beach Vacation for a couple? Please let me know your best beach vacation you had with your honey. I live on the east coast but I am looking for somewhere to go where it is very affordable to stay and fly to and fun/romantic enough for my boyfriend and I. Thanks!

  23. I would check out your state park….usually they have some good deals for cabins/houses that are far cheaper than renting someone else’s house or staying in a hotel….and they are private and in a state park. If you can’t find any, my state has some good ones: http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/

  24. I loved going on my first cruise with my honey. It was a three day weekend cruise to Nassau in the Bahamas and Cococay, a private island Royal Caribbean has that is like a desert island – very cool. We’re planning our eighth cruise now.

  25. saya_01 says:

You can take a nice 3 day cruise for under $1000 for the two of you. Or look for smaller coastal towns. They aren’t very touristy so they prices are more reasonable. Try Treasure Island FL and surrounding areas.
